Today, students learned to solve problems involving percents. They are finding the "whole" when given the part and percent, and they are also finding the "part" when given the whole and percent. We are using the percent proportion to solve these. Check out the videos below for extra help!
Students were introduced to percents today. They took notes in their MSGs and worked through practice problems. They learned that percent means "out of 100," and they can be converted to fractions and decimals. They also learned to find the "part" when given the whole and percent, and how to find the "whole" when given the part and percent. This was basically an extension of last week's work with proportions.
