Students reviewed for their Unit 2 Test, which all students will take on Thursday and Friday of this week. Continue studying this week by completing homework, reviewing notes and practice in your MSG, reviewing Unit 2 quizzes, and using the resources on this blog!
What should I review for the Unit 2 Test? See below! :)
Proportions Percents
Today, students reviewed the standards they have learned in Unit 2. We will take this test on Thursday and Friday, so use this week to review and study!! The Unit 2 Test on Thursday/Friday will cover the following topics. For extra practice, check out the videos and links on previous posts, OR check out the "Unit Resources" tab at the top of the page.
Students continued learning to convert units of measurement in the Customary and Metric systems. We will take the Unit 2 Test next Thurs/Fri! The test will cover these topics:
Today, students learned to convert units of Customary measurement. They have become masters of proportions, so we continued using proportions to convert. We worked through the guided notes in the MSG, and solved several problems to practice this skill.
Today, students continued learning how to solve percent problems. We applied our knowledge to real-world problems. We will test on this standard (as well as the rest of Unit 2) next week!
Today, students learned to apply their knowledge of percents to real-world problems. Students worked through some of the sample problems in the MSG, and they participated in a Round Robin activity to practice. We worked on checking reasonableness (do our answers make sense?) and setting up percent proportions.
This week's math tutoring will be Thursday @ 8:15 in MR. SHAW's room!
Today, students learned to solve percent problems. We applied what we already learned about proportions, and used the "percent proportion" to solve problems.
Congrats to these students for scoring an A on the Unit 2 Midway Test! :)
