Bothers, Katz, and Leach - Today we continued to practice finding the Mean, Median and Mode and we introduced Range. There will be a quiz tomorrow on Statistical Questions, Vocabulary, Mean, Median, Mode and Range! Ledesma - Today, students reviewed for their Unit 5 Test. This test will be taken tomorrow!

Bothers - Today, students are in the lab completing Mini-Touchstones from Unit 5 and practicing this week's standards involving mean, median, mode, and range. If you finish early, you may play any of these games: BAMZOOKi, Median Skyscrapers, Train Race Homework is to finish MSG p. 8b, and IXL is due Monday. Katz - Today we began Unit 6 - Statistics. We learned about what makes a statistical question and took the Unit 6 pre-test to see what we already know about the material in the unit. Homework: Complete the vocabulary pages in the new MSG. Leach: Students learned about mean, median, mode, and range. Homework is to finish MSG p. 8a; test corrections are due Friday. Ledesma: Students continued to practice finding surface area and volume. Bothers - We began Unit 6 today. Students will learn about statistics, and the focus today was on measures of center - mean, median, and mode. We watched a quick video and took guided notes in the MSG. Then, students practiced the skill. Homework is to complete MSG p. 8b. Katz - Today we were in the computer lab. The students took the Unit 5 Touchstones and worked on IXL. We will be starting a new unit tomorrow. Homework is to complete your Make-Up work if applicable. MAKE UP Work is due on Thursday 2/28! Click Here to see the list of assignments and print out what you need. The list has been updated to include all assignments through the end of Unit 5. Leach: Homework is to complete Unit 5 Test corrections on the provided form for additional test points. This is due by Friday! IXL is ongoing. Ledesma: Students took Unit 5 mini-touchstones in the computer lab. Homework is the Volume WS (V = Bh). New IXL (hot pink) is due Mon. 3/4.
Leach: No HW Ledesma: Finish and turn in ALL IXL (Green, purple, white, and blue). They must be turned in the Monday we come back. Unit 5 Review and Test will be given the week we return.

Students worked on finding volume of rectangular prisms. This includes prisms with fractional edges, so students need to remember how to convert between improper fractions and mixed numbers! Bothers, Katz, and Leach will take the Unit 5 Test this Thursday/Friday! Homework: Bothers: Surface Area & Volume Practice WS; IXL is due Friday. Students who are not passing received a printout of their grades from Quarter 3. If any assignments are missing, please make them up ASAP! Katz - Unit 5 Study Guide # 1-9. Also, any student who is not passing math class was given a progress report to take home. This progress report included a list of the assignments that are missing and gives the students instructions for how to make up the work. All make up work is due on 2/28 for credit.
