Today, students continued to practice plotting points, finding the distance between points, and reflecting points and shapes on the coordinate plane. We will test this unit on Friday, so study! :)
Leach's Homework Stars Shout out for March:1st: Aisha 2nd: Yani & Tony 3rd: Haani, Maria & Angelina Today, students learned to reflect points and shapes on the coordinate plane! Students worked through examples in the MSG, and practiced the skill in class.
Reflection across the x-axis: Reflection across the y-axis:Today, students learned to find the distance between points on the coordinate plane, and how to draw polygons on the coordinate plane. They worked through examples in the MSG and applied the concepts to real-world problems.
Your Unit 7 Test is Friday!
Today, students continued to learn the following:
- how to represent real-world situations with integers
- how to compare/order integers / rational numbers
- locating integers / rational numbers on a number line
- absolute value
- graphing in all 4 quadrants of the coordinate plane
Today, students learned several standards! They included the following: - how to represent real-world situations with integers
- to identify/recognize opposite numbers
- to locate rational numbers on a number line
- how to compare and order rational numbers
Today, students set up their MSG for Unit 7 and began their unit on rational numbers! This of course includes positive AND negative numbers, which will be fun to learn about!
