We reviewed how to find the percentage of a number using procedural steps- as in Proportions.-SEE MSG for information and notes given today. Student were given a work sheet to practice on and (those who were absent could refer the MSG for notes and examples on Percent and work six problems on finding the percentage of a number-(MSG-16b and 17 a). Students are to continue working on IXL prerequisite skills to reinforce concepts used in UNIT 2. We will continue working on percents for the rest of the week-with an appreciation of how to compute tips, taxes, and discounts relative to the sales price). Ledesma - Students learned to solve measurement conversions using proportions. HW: Measurement Worksheet using proportions. Continue to work on yellow IXL.
