Bothers/Leach/Ledesma - Students learned to find the area of rectangles, triangles, and parallelograms. They took notes and explored the relationships between parallelograms and triangles (a triangle is 1/2 a parallelogram) and rectangles and parallelograms. They also made a Flow Map of how to find area. Mrs. Katz's students used the posters made by their classmates to complete their geometry glossary in their MSGs. We will begin area tomorrow. Homework: Bothers: MSG p. 11a; IXL due Monday Katz: IXL (6th grade skill) F.5 Leach: Area of Triangles WS; Test corrections due Friday; IXL Ledesma: MSG p. 7b, 8b, 10a, 10b (Write the formula, substitute, then solve and include units); IXL purple sheet due Friday!
