Today the students took the Mini Post Test for Unit 1. They did GREAT! Tomorrow we will be in the computer lab working on Touchstones and IXL skills. Homework tonight is to finish page 5 in the MSG. I also gave them a copy of tomorrow's homework in case they want to do it today since they have a lot more time! Test on Friday! Today we reviewed some basic information about fractions and then learned about dividing fractions. Here is a video of our lesson. The first one was interrupted by a fire drill, so you can stop watching around 6:30. I didn't have time to crop! The second is where we picked up once we came back to the classroom. HW: MSG pg. 5 #1-6 The answer key is explained on the far right video below.
Today we practiced solving decimal problems involving all four operations. Then we learned/reviewed how to divide fractions.
Here is a look at our week:
We used today to review concepts taught this week. Students played board games while they completed problems. (They had to get a problem right to be able to take a turn!)
NO Homework! Great job on IXL this week. Today we took notes on adding, subtracting and dividing decimals.

HW: Long Division with Remainders Practice Sheet Today we learned about how to use the standard algorithm to solve long division problems. HW: Long Division Practice Sheet
Today we continued to practice solving GCF & LCM Word Problems.
