Today, students practiced finding the surface area of rectangular prisms and cubes!

Today, students learned to calculate the surface area of a polyhedron! They engaged in a lab activity in which they looked at the nets of several figures, and identified the shapes and their properties. Then, they calculated the surface area by finding the area of each shape on the net. This is very similar to finding area of composite shapes, like we learned last week!
